We believe that no matter what our students are planning to do after high school, they should be in a position to choose the college and career pathway that will lead to a successful life.
When we talk about being college and career ready, what are we really saying? Fundamentally, being college and career ready is having the knowledge and skills, habits of thinking, and preparation necessary to successfully complete the first year of college without the need for remedial or developmental education or to being able to enter the workforce ready to handle the demands of the job successfully.
That is why West Oso High School educators, administrators, counselors, and advisors want to ensure that every student graduates from high school ready to meet the challenges of a college curriculum or the demands of an increasingly knowledge-based global workforce. Now is the time to prepare!
Career and Military

College Planning

Online College
Online college is an excellent option for those who need flexibility in when and where they “go” to school, yet still desire to obtain the education they need to get ahead in their job and increase salary.
Applying to College
When you’re ready to start applying, consolidate some of the work load by using the Apply Texas form, which is valid at all Texas state universities and colleges, or the Common Application, which is accepted at hundreds of colleges through the United States.
