Business Professionals of America, BPA, is the premier CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organization) for students pursuing a career in business management, information technology, finance, office administration, and other related career fields. The mission of Business Professionals of America is to contribute to the preparation of global professionals through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, and academic and technological skills.
We build today’s students into tomorrow’s business professionals.

Participation in the highly competitive WOHS Debate and Forensics team empowers students as they build skills that will prove beneficial throughout their lives, including how to research and develop sound and logical arguments and speak with presence and power.
Our team competes at the local, state, and national levels, consistently advancing to the UIL State Championships for both UIL Cross-Examination Debate and UIL Congress. Students compete in all speech and debate competition areas, including CX Policy Debate, Lincoln Douglas Debate, Congressional Debate, Mock Trial, Informative & Persuasive Speaking, and Poetry & Prose.
The West Oso Debate Team is a member of the Texas Forensics Association, National Speech and Debate Association/National Forensics League, and NSDA Honor Society.

The mission of the West Oso Mighty Bear Battalion Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps is to motivate young people to be better citizens. We do this by creating a fun, disciplined learning environment to assist students in the basic foundations of leadership.
The National Honor Society (NHS) is more than just an honor roll. We award memberships to students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
