College & Career Readiness

Success in college and the workforce is not a happy accident. It takes planning, research, and a willingness to do what it takes. There’s a lot to do, and it can seem overwhelming, but we’re here to help you take those first steps—the rest is up to you!

Pursue Your Passion

West Oso High School is committed to ensuring our students are prepared to pursue a fulfilling career sparked by their passions. We believe that no matter what our students are planning to do after high school, they should be in a position to choose the college and career pathway that will lead to a successful life.

When we talk about being college and career ready, what are we really saying? Fundamentally, being college and career ready is having the knowledge and skills, habits of thinking, and preparation necessary to successfully complete the first year of college without the need for remedial or developmental education or to being able to enter the workforce ready to handle the demands of the job successfully.

That is why West Oso High School educators, administrators, counselors, and advisors want to ensure that every student graduates from high school ready to meet the challenges of a college curriculum or the demands of an increasingly knowledge-based global workforce. Now is the time to prepare!
